Who is God? Where is he? What is his role in our life? These are some of the questions that arise in the minds of learned, intellectual, alive and inquisitive people. Answer of these is really not very easy or exact as it is based on knowledge and information available from the historical spiritual texts and the personal experience of devotees.
There are four main religions that exist on earth which includes Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christians. Every religion has an idol or a special symbol that they follow based on their faith and devotion. Hindu is the oldest and the strongest religion in India as per the known facts from the texts.
About Hindu Gods
There are millions of Hindu gods who are worshipped by people throughout the world based on their power, position and strength. We as humans are not capable of doing things beyond a limit. So, here comes the role of Hindu gods who bless their devotees with immense strength, power and skills to become successful.
There are three main Hindu gods popular as Trinity gods namely Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh who play the role of creator, preserver and destroyer. Other than this, there are gods like Ganesha, Hanuman, Krishna, Ram and goddesses like Durga, Parvati, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Sita, Kali and more. Every god is special in its own way and is assigned a particular role.
Brahma: As per the Hindu texts the very existence of the universe lies in the hands of Lord Brahma as he is the creator of the universe. He created manu and shatrupa for the growth and development of mankind on earth.
Mahesh: Lord Mahesh is the destroyer of the universe who brings everything to an end by his rage. He resides in Kailash Parvat with Maa Parvati and his two sons Ganesha and Kartikey.
Ganesh: Lord Ganesha represents happiness, good fortune, luck and success. He is the remover of obstacles coming in the way of success. His blessings and presence makes the aura positive and protects devotees from negativities.
Hanuman: Lord Hanuman is the loyal devotee of Lord Ram who is believed to possess great strength and charisma. He protects his devotees from evil spirits, negatives and mishappening.
Ram: Lord Ram is the main character of Ramayana and the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is the symbol of strong character, discipline, chivalry and courage displaying victory over evil.
Durga: Maa Durga is the sacred Hindu goddess who is the symbol of Shakti (power), strength, love, compassion and protection of her devotees.
Parvati: Maa Parvati also known as Gauri is the Hindu goddess of power, harmony, care, motherhood and nourishment.
Saraswati: Maa Saraswati is the goddess of speech, art, literature, knowledge, music and other skills. She is worshipped by learned sages, saints, students and educators.
Kali: Maa Kali is the sacred form of Parvati who appeared to conquer the devil Raktbeej and other demons.
Kartikey: Also known as Murugan, Kartikey is the god of war. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati and elder brother of Ganesha.
Other than these main gods there are around 33 million gods. These comprise eight Vasus which are the deities of material elements. Twelve Adityas, they are personified deities. Eleven Rudras, Five abstractions, five names of Shiva, Arms, and two Asvins or the two Nasatyas.
In addition to these there are other Vedic gods like:
Indra: The god of storms, Indra is the Vedic king of all gods. He is responsible for rain, thunderstorms, lightning and other similar natural actions.
Agni: The god of fire, Agni is referred to as the main gods of Rig Veda.
Varuna: The third Vedic god refers to Varuna god who is believed to know everything. He is related to sky, seas, justice and truth.
All Hindu gods possess immense supernatural strength which makes them special and powerful than human beings. Worship of these gods not only brings power, strength, positivity and success in life but also brings moksha to the true devotee.
